Day trips to Napa Valley and the surrounding Wine Country are the fix people
from the Bay Area may be looking for within a reasonable driving distance.
There are a couple of things you should know to plan that perfect, packed,
relaxing, fun daytrip to Napa Valley.
If its a Napa Valley day trip on the weekend consider the following:
- Most wineries open around 10 am and close around 5 pm
- There are over 375 vintners, about 200 wineries you can taste wine on
location; about 10 winery co-operative tasting rooms; and about 5 wine
tasting bars throughout Napa Valley
- The restaurants are the bomb!
- One glass of wine for the average person is enough to create a blood
alcohol level of .08%, especially the big reds with 15% alcohol or more
- Pace yourself
- There are plenty of transportation options available (do the Napa
Winery Shuttle).
- Designate a driver, bring water, snacks, Tylenol and sunglasses
- You can do other stuff too like take a Napa River cruise, do the Napa Valley Wine
Train for Dinner, take a hot air balloon ride (this is an early deal - 6:00
AM), etc.
- Try doing at least one appointment tasting as they tend to be amazing.
- It's hard not to think of Napa Valley as a romantic place, but don't
forget Girls' Spa Day out and Men's Golf Tourneys
- Hotel rooms are pretty scarce on Saturday nights, plan ahead if you
think you are going to stay the night and most hotels and bed &
breakfasts require a two-night minimum between June and October
- There's so much more...we can help. You can book things to do

If you plan on coming to Napa Valley during the week consider the
following:
- the service is fantastic because it's all about you
- You will get your reservations wherever you want!
- Beware of Mondays and Tuesdays, a lot of wineries, some restaurants are
closed, call ahead or go to their websites
- Napa Valley Hotel room rates tend to be about 25% less expensive, should
you feel compelled to stay over.
- Please review the above for other things to consider when visiting Napa
Valley for the day or the rest of your life ~ see you soon!
